For many years, I wanted to take a jewelry class, and now I am! Class time flies by, and I enjoy the social part and being able to keep my brain working. Wonderful organization!
I attend Shepherd Center because I enjoy the classes and friends I’ve met. The only problem I have is sometimes there are two classes I’d like to join but they are at the same time slot!
Meeting new friends keeps me active in body and brain. I love being a part of TSCOOP!
I attend SCOOP because of the variety of subjects especially Elder Law. I am also honored to serve as a facilitator for Current Events.
I come because the classes are educational, like Elder Law, and some are just fun – like Rock n Roll. The fellowship is terrific. A good time always.
The participants in the classes are friendly, curious and accepting. This program makes aging fun and exciting by expanding the scope of the learner’s knowledge and connections to others.
Upon retiring I wanted to learn things not connected to elementary education – I found not only a wealth of topics but interaction with other participants was a huge bonus.
The Shepherd Center’s Adventures in Leaning is frequently the highlight of my week. The volunteer instructors devote significant time in preparation in classes that cross the spectrum of music, art, travel, technology, games and crafts.
Great opportunity to meet new friends, learn new things, socialize, and get out of the house! Great selection of topics to learn, study, and enjoy! There’s something for everyone. Price is reasonable, days are convenient. It is well organized and run well.
